Sound Science
Sound Science Inc., was founded in 2001 by world-class musicians Jay Oliver and Bill Lenihan. The company's board of advisors is comprised of pediatric experts, researchers, doctors, professors, specialists and professional business and marketing teams.
The Sound Science team is focused on providing products designed to calm and soothe people with state-of-the-art music that promotes relaxation, healthier sleep patterns and a peaceful environment for newborns, infants, children, teens and adults. The products are available through the company's web site: www.babysleepsystem.com, or through an expanding retail network.
The flagship product of Sound Science is called the BabySleep System™. Released in May, 2004, the one-hour CD recording is built around a technology called The WombEffect™, which is an audio emulation of the womb sound environment. This new technology, and the experts that stand behind it, differentiates the BabySleep System from other products on the market.
The technology that created the WombEffect is also the backbone of several new Sounds In Silence products, either already released or slated for release in the near future.
Jay Oliver is the principal creator and Chairman of Sound Science. He is a world-renowned musician, composer, producer and engineer. Mr. Oliver's writing, production and performance credits include work with Sheryl Crow, The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, Bonnie Raitt, Wynona Judd, Glenn Fry, Joe Walsh, Chick Corea, Dave Weckl and many others.
William Lenihan, co-founder of the initial BabySleep concept, is an international composer of jazz, classical and film music, and is a world-class jazz and classical guitarist. Mr. Lenihan is Director of Composition and Jazz studies at Washington University in St. Louis, and has worked with Jerry Goldsmith, Henry Mancini, Richard Beirach, Pierre Boulez, Leonard Slatkin, and many others.
